Profile
Yoann is a chartered UK trade mark attorney with extensive knowledge of trade mark and copyright law. Prior to joining Venner Shipley, Yoann was in-house IP Counsel for a well-known, pan-European, telecom retail company for several years. He brings a commercial approach to provide both practical and proactive advice to clients.
Yoann advises on all aspects of trade mark law and practice, including management and organisation of IP portfolios, clearance for use and registration of new marks, prosecution and enforcement of intellectual property rights. He has extensive experience in contentious trade mark proceedings, such as oppositions and cancellation actions before the UK and EU Intellectual Property Offices, including trade mark hearings before the UK Intellectual Property Office. Yoann also advises on domain name disputes (before ICANN and Nominet) and has particular expertise in drafting and negotiating trade mark licences and assignments.
Education
Yoann holds a master’s degree in Litigation Law, which he obtained with distinction, being placed First in the year. He also graduated from the University of Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas with a master’s in Intellectual Property Law, before attending King’s College London where he obtained a LL.M. also in Intellectual Property Law.

Yoann est Conseil senior en Propriété Industrielle. Il intervient en matière de droit des marques, dessins et modèles, noms de domaine et en droit d’auteur. Yoann est particulièrement spécialisé en recherches d’antériorités de marques, oppositions, négociation et rédaction de contrats relatifs à la Propriété Intellectuelle. Yoann a rejoint le cabinet Venner Shipley en 2012 après plusieurs années passées en tant que juriste chargée de la propriété intellectuelle pour une entreprise européenne de produits téléphoniques.

Yoann est titulaire d’un Master 2 spécialisé en droit des contentieux (Major de Promotion), d’un Master 2 spécialisé en droit de la propriété intellectuelle obtenu à l’Université de Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas et d’un LL.M. En droit de la propriété intellectuelle de King’s College London.
