The Harold G. Fox Moot and 2020 Fox Lecture

Partner, James Tumbridge is in Toronto for the 12th annual Harold G. Fox Moot 2020 meeting on intellectual property law. James has also been asked to be part of the select judging panel for the preliminary rounds at the event, which helps to promote the furtherance of education in the intellectual property field.

The Harold G. Fox Moot provides participants with the opportunity to interact with jurists of the Supreme, Ontario, and Federal Courts and experienced practitioners of intellectual property law. It is named in honour of the late Harold G. Fox, one of Canada’s leading intellectual property scholars and advocates. On February 21 to 22, eleven schools from across Canada will participate in the 2020 moot focusing on ‎patent infringement. The moot usually features judicial panellists from the Supreme Court of Canada, the ‎Federal Court of Appeal, the Federal Court and the Superior Court of ‎Justice for Ontario. Professor Lionel Bently, University of Cambridge and Co-Director of Centre for ‎Intellectual Property and Information Law, will deliver the introductory Fox lecture.
