George Neville White

George is a Trainee Patent Attorney in our Electronics, Software and Communications team having joined Venner Shipley in September 2026.

As an undergraduate he worked on designing a framework to allow all-optical computation of complex mathematical procedures using ITO. The aim of this was to develop low latency light-based transistors for telecommunication applications.

Later on, during his time as a post-graduate researcher at the University of Exeter he published work on modulating the phase of THz beams for use in 6G connectivity. As part of the metamaterials department, and in conjunction with BT, he developed novel methods for optically inducing phase switching in Silicon.

Education

George has a Masters degree in Physics from the University of Exeter.
