Daniel Ridley

Profile

Daniel is a senior associate in our Mechanical team and is both a European and Chartered Patent Attorney. Daniel has a very broad technical expertise across a wide range of technologies, spanning from medical devices and implants, to sports equipment, subsea oil technologies, high performance vehicles and aerospace, to everyday items such as personal mobility aids and household appliances. Daniel’s work often involves providing patentability opinions, performing freedom to operate (FTO) analysis, drafting patent applications and, as a design attorney, filing and prosecuting registered designs. Daniel has a great deal of experience working with both multinational companies as well as individual inventors, helping to establish and manage their IP portfolios and to give bespoke and commercially valuable legal advice.

Education

Daniel attended the University of Bath where he completed his master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, before attending Queen Mary, University of London and completing a certificate in Intellectual Property Law. Daniel has also been awarded an Intellectual Property Litigation Certificate.
