Ben Glossop

Ben is a Trainee Patent Attorney in our Chemical and Life Sciences team having joined Venner Shipley in September 2026. His main interests lie in cancer therapeutics, immunology and molecular biology.

Ben graduated from the University of York in 2025 obtaining a master’s degree in Biochemistry. During his degree, Ben developed a strong interest in understanding the molecular mechanisms that underpin disease and the development of innovative therapeutic approaches.

His final year MBiochem research project investigated how Trypanosoma brucei evades the host immune system through antigenic variation of variant surface glycoproteins, using low-temperature plasma.
