International Women’s Day

We dedicated our March monthly connect day to celebrating International Women’s Day. We got together to celebrate women’s achievements, raise awareness about discrimination and take action to drive gender parity. This year’s theme is ‘Inspire Inclusion’ and our team at Venner Shipley shared their ideas.

Exam successes

In the UK final patent exams, there have been passes for Tom Bridgwater, Hugh Crook, Alexandra Gregory, Rob Holbrook, Jae Kim Kang, Claire Lightfoot, Joseph O’Leary, Rob Smith and Ting Wu. Alexandra Gregory, Hugh Crook, Rob Holbrook and Rob Smith are now fully qualified to be entered on the list of UK patent attorneys.

Taking the pre-EQE in its final year before the framework for European patent exams changes, our candidates Fabian Bor, Emily Hofmann, Phil Reid and Kyle Struthers-Burgess all passed with flying colours.

It has also been a stellar year for those enrolled in the Post Graduate Certificate of IP Law at Queen Mary, University of London. Again, all candidates from Venner Shipley passed with excellent results. Congratulations go to Olivia Dunne, Benji Gibber, Mahdi Godazgar, Spencer Knight and Jess Wilkinson.

Partner, Peter Thorniley comments: “I am incredibly proud of the work our associates put into their professional development and glad to see it paying off in these results. A firm like Venner Shipley thrives on the excellence of its people; we are lucky to have such talent in our ranks”.
