We are delighted to be collaborating with Innovate UK Edge on their upcoming event, ‘The Journey from Research to Commercialisation’. Senior Associate, Christopher Dunleavy, and Associate, Robert Holbrook will be joining the speaker line up to present from an IP perspective, with the overall event focusing on stories and insights into the challenges, pitfalls and lessons learned through the journey of research to commercialisation.
During the masterclass you will be provided an overview on: using your intellectual property, starting or spinning out a company, developing your business plan, grant funding, early-stage investments, collaborations and where to get support.

Christopher Dunleavy
Christopher is a European and Chartered Patent Attorney in our Electronics, Software and Communications team. The focus of his work is the filing and prosecution of patent applications in the fields of electronics, computer implemented inventions, sensor systems, medical devices and materials science. He handles multi-disciplinary inventions on a regular basis.

Robert Holbrook
Robert is a European patent attorney in our Electronics, Software and Communications team. Robert focuses on the drafting and prosecution of patent applications in the fields of electronics, computer implemented inventions and image processing. Before joining Venner Shipley, Robert’s background is in biology, studying biomechanics, navigation and decision making in a variety of animals using multi-camera systems, machine vision and machine learning. As such, Robert is adept at handling multi-disciplinary inventions, particularly those at the interface of electronics and biology.
