EPO official fees set to increase April 1st
Following a Decision of the Administrative Council of 16 December 2015, official fees payable to the EPO will increase as of 1 April 2016
The new amounts will apply to all payments made on or after 1 April 2016.
Whilst the increases are relatively small, it is worth considering whether any fees can be paid prior to 1 April 2016 at the existing rate. Renewal fees for European patent applications can also be paid up to 3 months in advance of their due date.
It is therefore worthwhile noting that renewal fees with a deadline on or before 30 June 2016 can be paid before 1 April 2016 at the current rate.
