Digital Health Series – IP for Digital Health technologies (Part 2)

We are delighted to be collaborating with the University of Manchester Innovation Factory for their Digital Health Series, ‘IP for Digital Health Technologies’.

Thank you to everyone who attended part 1 of the event on 9 November, where Partner’s Gary Whiting and Peter Thorniley presented via webinar, covering how Intellectual Property (IP) rights can be put to work to reward and commercialise innovation.

Part 2 of the Digital Health series on 30 November 2021 is an in-person networking event for digital health innovators on Tuesday 30th November. At this event, you will hear from SME’s that have taken their digital health innovations to market in Greater Manchester and beyond. There will also be a workshop-style group discussion about the example case studies introduced in Part 1’s webinar. These will form the basis of a broader discussion of commercialisation strategies, including an examination of IP considerations such as trade secrets, the use of open-source software, potential ownership disputes with employees and contractors, and IP licences.

Panellists facilitating the workshop will include some of our IP experts, people with medical, computer software, research and medical device specialisms.

About Digital Health Series:

This Digital Health Series is targeted at the multi-disciplinary Digital Health sector including clinicians, researchers, and scientists with a wide range of expertise in healthcare, engineering, social sciences, public health, health economics and data management.
